Our Approach

Time-Tested Curricula & Family Discipleship

Students in K4 through 5th grade will meet from
9am to 3pm on Mondays & Tuesdays.

Most families use an eclectic approach to homeschooling. We support whatever teaching style works best for each family. During our school hours, we will employ a traditional approach for courses which involve skills development like math and reading and a more classical, exploratory approach to science, history and enrichment courses.

To maintain consistency and steady skills acquisition, families will need to follow our lesson plans for Reading and Math. We will measure our success through an initial placement test and then testing at regular intervals. We'll offer lesson plans for the other subjects, but families are free to explore and enjoy any of the wide variety of great learning materials that are available to them.

Our required core curricula, which is included in tuition:

Math-U-See - which uses a mastery approach to math concepts and includes plenty of practice.

Abeka Readers - which continue to be highly acclaimed for their strong phonics approach and beautifully illustrated, meaningful stories.

We will be using the following in class and recommend them for home, but they are not required.

Bible – Tiny Theologians is a gentle, simple walk through biblical theology. & The Ology - Ancient Truths Ever New for all grades.

Generations History is a Christ-centered and missions-oriented approach to World History which recognizes God’s providential hand in every chapter

God’s Design for Life Beginners & God's Design for Life Science - Answers In Genesis series reveals how science supports the biblical account of creation and God's magnificent design all around us.

Additional Courses Include: Penmanship, Fine Arts, Practical Life Skills, and Weekly Chapel

We're excited to offer Parent Discipleship

Parents are invited to attend chapel once a week along with the students. After the students are dismissed from chapel to their enrichment class, parents are welcome to stay for a weekly discipleship and discussion session. The topics will vary from week to week. We'll learn, share ideas and encourage each other.
