Perseverance of the Saints - Philippians 4:8-9

The disengaged mind is the enemy of the Christian. - Justin Peters

And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. - Matthew 22:37

Philippians 4:8 -  “Finally(remaining, rest or rest of things that remain), brothers, whatever is true (true, loving the truth, speaking the truth, truthful), whatever is honorable (respected or impressive, greatly respected) , whatever is just (righteous, virtuous, upright, only Christ, approved of or acceptable of God, holy), whatever is pure (sacred, perfect, most holy thing), whatever is lovely (acceptable, pleasing), whatever is commendable (sounding well, well spoken, reputable), if there is any excellence (virtuous course of thought, moral excellence, praise, virtue), if there is anything worthy of praise (commendable, approbation), think (count, reckon, weigh the reasons, consider) about these things.

Colossians 3:1-3 “If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. 3 For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.”

Live in such a way that when others watch your life they don’t see you, they see Christ in you.

“For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps.” - 1 Peter 2:21

Philippians 4:9 -What you have learned (and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.”
